General Requirement:
Qualified applicants will be able to make sound decisions and act to maintain the day-to-day operations of the equipment while providing placement of concrete to clients and to ensure delivery standards are met. Applicants will possess dependable transportation to report to work in a timely and consistent manner, be able to communicate, understand and follow directions as required, have the necessary tools for the position and maintain company tools/equipment as appropriate, follow all company policies and procedures regarding safety, leave of absence and time reporting, present and promote themselves and the company in a professional and competent manner. Performs a variety of supervisory and managerial functions under the direction of the manager to achieve profitable and quality-oriented projects more specifically defined below. Must be able to pass drug and alcohol screening.
Education/Experience Requirements:
Requires high school diploma or equivalence, preferably have a minimum of two years’ experience in construction with one-year experience in equipment operation with preventative maintenance and client relations. Applicants will have leadership qualities to promote a professional atmosphere while having knowledge of pump equipment and a current commercial driver’s license. Applicant must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently to communicate clearly and professionally. Can work under time and high-pressure situations with problem solving skills.
Expectations and Responsibilities:
1. Receiving requests from clients for placement of concrete to meet client demands. Monitors and advises clients of any unsafe conditions that could cause harm to personnel and/or equipment
2. Record keeping as may be required by the manager
3. Preventive maintenance and equipment repairs to their assigned equipment including but not limited to what may be required by the manager
4. Keeping their equipment in peak optimal performance, aesthetically pleasing and organized.
5. To perform daily pre-trip inspection in accordance with U.S. Department of Transportation on their equipment and completing the daily log book.
6. To inspect and maintain all Kolde Concrete Construction field equipment including but not limited to bobcats, cat loader, mini excavator, air compressor, and light tower. The Pump Operator will coordinate the maintenance of field equipment with the Field Foreman, so maintenance and repairs can be made at the shop.
7. House cleaning and upkeep of the assigned parking stall which must be kept organized and orderly by the standards set for the by the president
Measurements of Performance:
The Pump Operator is evaluated on:
1. Safety Violations on site, and in shop. Personal Protection Equipment Compliance
2. Attitude in field as well as in the shop
3. Appearance and mechanical interior and exterior shape of equipment
4. DOT records as well as DUIR
5. Accuracy of employee time sheets and work orders, accountability for materials used and accuracy of items charged on each invoice.
6. Appearance and organization of designated parking stall
7. Customers comments/reviews of operations
